Great friends

I am one lucky girl to have made some wonderful friends in such a short time of being here in SD. One of the great things about Air Force life is that your fellow squadron spouses become instant friends and a wonderful support group. So combine that with the instant family you meet at church it is hard to be lonely. My wonderful neighbor and friend Kathy Stephens who I have known for 7 years (and ironically enough this is our second time being neighbors) gave me a wonderful tea/baby shower today. She is an amazing cook (another reason it is great to be her neighbor) so the food was absolutely scrumptious and everyone was so generous and kind. If I didn't look like a refrigerator right now there would be more pictures especially of all the cute things. But being as shallow as I am I decided to only show a few of the ones where I am not totally grotesque. So I got two great group gifts, the creme-DE-la-creme of bouncy seats and a stroller. Along with a fun diaper cake which I have seen but never been the recipient of. And so many cute outfits and blankets. I even got a beautiful turquoise Silpada ring that I have had my eye on and two of my dear friends surprised me with a me gift. I was so surprised. I feel truly honored and blessed.

Some more of my Fine lady friends!

I warned you I am extremely large in the belly area. I tend to scare small children.

In the diaper cake were bath paints for the boys so I decided to let them use them all up tonight so we could just get the mess over with. I think its odd that they sell bath paints. Isn't that kind of an oxymoron. They were dirtier at the end then when we started.
By the way Mack scored 4 goals today at his game. Just a random FYI

Okay, so I have that exact same sleeper you are holding in the picture. Baby showers are so fun! I'm glad you have lots of good people to take care of you. And oh yes, bath paitns. SOOOO messy. My boys got some once. I had to scrub so hard to get it off the tile and grout. So I found tub tints. It makes the water colored, but leaves no mess! Yay! And last but not least, you are not huge. You're pregnant and last time I checked, that's how pregnant ladies are supposed to look. I think you look great!

Heather-
It has been so exciting to connect with old friends and see how much things have changed. I'm so happy to find your blog, your kids are beautiful. I hope we can re-connect and find out what you've been doing since TX.

"if I didn't look like a refrigerator" ???
That comment made me burst out laughing. I was thinking how amazingly beautiful you look. You don't look any different than you did in high school, well except for the perfectly round basketball you're carrying under your dress! Good luck in the days to come... 29 days, for your sake, I hope they go quick!
I am not at all surprised that your boy is already a superior athlete.

oh man, i miss you! doesn't it just seem like yesterday when you told us you were pregnant at outback?

that's awesome that you have great friends. of course, they're not as good as us . . . right?

i would have given you a killer baby shower. complete with super-fun games and candies shaped like pacifiers and such.

You look adorable. Just remember...the belly does go away and you will be able to see your toes once again.

What a great blog. I am so excited to have another blog to stalk!! You are having too much fun, pass some this way. And I was thinking if I could look half as good as you 8 months pregnant, I would be a happy woman! But since I look similar in size at 5 months I am already nervous. What's bigger then a fridge??! You look great, and I can't wait to see your new addition!!

Found you surfing through various friends sites! Very happy to get reconnected. We're in Vegas, yes still in the AF. We're planning the career since we're already half way through. Just came back from a 2 year tour in Chile!

You are so beautiful! I'm so excited for you! I wish I could come take pictures, that would be so fun. The best time to take pictures is within the first 2 weeks of life, when you can move them all around and they just keep on sleeping. I hope all goes well with your delivery. You look like you have such a fun group of girlfriends! You always did attract everyone to you with your sweet and caring personality. You are a friend magnet!
