Sights with my Mom

I am pretty lucky to have gotten to spend so much
time with my Mom this year.
First a month together this summer while I was
in the States and then another 3 weeks while she
was here in Hungary.
Besides the sights in Prague,
we hit up Szentrendre-one of my favorite villages-
The Jewish Synagogue and the cities major highlights.

Like walking across the chain bridge for instance.

The top of Gellert Hill overlooking Budapest

Inside the Jewish Synagogue, the largest one in Europe and is still an active one as well.
Miraculously, it wasn't destroyed but was severely damaged during the war.
German Radio was housed in it as well as being used as a stable during WWll.

This is the weeping willow tree  Holocaust Memorial in the courtyard outside the synagogue. If you look closely it is made of metal and each of the leaves has inscribed on them names of victims.
More than 400,000 Hungarian Jews were murdered.

Wow! So many fun adventures! Scott would have the same problem growing a beard, and he has a hard time looking at the pictures with out getting jealous ;)
