HONEYMOON for families you ask?
For lack of a better word, that is the way I am choosing to describe
our 2 weeks post deployment family reconstitution time.
Our time together as a family was very similar to a newlywed honeymoon.
(well sort of...Remember this is a FAMILY honeymoon)
We vacationed, ate out ALOT, splurged on not so important things, slept in,
went to LOTS of movies, tried to spend every waking moment together. Knowing soon, it would
all be over and real life would have to start.
Overall though, realizing that family time is precious and something to treasure.
The beginning started out with a
spur of the moment trip to Denver packed with lots of activities.
Like The Children's Museum
Meeting up with our recently moved friends the Olson's for a Rockies game.
Creed's way of protesting the heat. It was miserably HOT!
A fun day at the Zoo
Something is a little backwards with this situation...hmm...

Who makes the better face??
The Nature and Science Museum
Mack has been obsessed with Egypt all year. So seeing this mummy was quite a thrill.
And as luck would have it, we were driving back to South Dakota the same
time all the bikers were heading there for the rally.
This is one of many tasteful sights we saw along the way.
