The wedding!

We love Aunt Sara and we equally love the man she has chosen to be her eternal companion. 

Kyson is such a great person with a gentle soul who is the perfect match for our 

beloved girl. I really love young love and when they are such a perfect match

it makes my heart pitter patter even more. 

I know my entire family is so happy that we made the 

trek across the ocean to participate in their big day and

to be apart of the beginning of the rest of their days together. 

There was something so endearing watching 3 of Sara's brothers and her Dad helping set up for the reception but even more so working with delicate flowers which usually isn't in their normal repertoire of skills. You can tell this is one loved little sister.

you kind of have to feel bad for Kyson when you think about the amount of protective brothers he had to win over.  :)

I think I got the better end of this deal. Brittany holding my flowers and I get to hold her baby. :)

I love this picture with sweet Granny. Especially knowing she left this earth a few short weeks later to be reunited with her sweetheart and our Heavenly Father.

These umbrellas and lights were so adorable and looked awesome when the sun went down.

This is my neighbor growing up. He recently celebrated his 100th birthday. He still drives, golfs, cooks you name it.
What fun to see him that night.

I am so glad Cam's brother married this girl. We have so much fun together.

Creed's Baptism

In our church when children turn the age of 8 they have the opportunity

to be baptized a member of it.

Creed has been looking forward to this day for a long time, but was always torn 

because he wanted to be able to share it with our extended family. 

Although Creed turned 8 in April he was very excited when we 

told him we could hold off and do his baptism in June

when we came back to America for his Aunt Sara's wedding.

I love it when things like this work out! :D

all the cousins in attendance performed a musical number during the baptism the younger ones were the
 singers and the older ones provided the music. It was beautiful.

What a blessing it is that my boys have such a wonderful Dad who is able to baptize them.

My brother and his wife were such great hosts for us while we were in Utah,
especially providing us a location for our BBQ afterwards and doing so much work.
 Can you tell the sun was very bright. :)

another year gone...

3rd grade came and went pretty fast for Mack.

All in all I would say the year went pretty well.

Considering the fact that this was his third elementary school in

3 years and that he is in a totally different country

and was the only American in his class.

There were some bumps and learning curves to

get over but we hope overall what he has gained

by these experiences will help him be that much 

more successful as he gets older.

He started off the year very brave and ran for Student Body secretary,

his lunch time intramural soccer team won the championship,

lots of field trips,

And numerous in class projects and events.

Here are a just a few mementos to remember the year by.

He was captain of his lunch time intramural Football team. He obviously got to pick the team name,
Cam couldn't have been prouder!
We left school over two weeks early to head back to the states so we never did find out how his team did in the championships...

his part in the Readers theatre along with his friends Alexa and Stef.

3 years and 3 elementary schools was also Creed's reality.

His year of 1st grade was pretty great too.

He and Mack took turns as to when to go through rough

patches, Creed had his at the beginning versus the end. 

Luckily, kids are resilient and are genuinely trying to learn and get things right. 

Creeds school year could be summed up with soccer and performing. 

He played soccer at any chance and loves being goalie.

He also has proven to be quite the showman, he had a part

in the winter program as well as the end of year program.

He takes his roles very seriously.

Good grades and hard work payed off for him this year. 

As you will clearly see, Callan's first year of preschool was 

full! There is of course the academics, but swimming lessons, and sports, and 

ballet, and field trips, and cooking, and outside time and play time and 

lunch time and snack time. 

The list goes on and on, I am tired just thinking about it all.

We found a great preschool that meets all of our needs and then some.

I don't know who is looking more forward to next year with them

him or me.
