One gorgeous, late March Friday evening, that was predicted to be cold and rainy.
A momentous occasion happened in
the Buda Castle district overlooking the Danube river and
the Magnificent Hungarian Parliament building.

The chairs were set, the podium and flags were in place.

The cakes and flowers were ready and on display.

All in preparation for the pinning on of
Lt. Colonel Cameron B Shirley

Each of his adoring sons did the honors of pinning on the new rank.

With the littlest one being in charge of the pinning of the cap.

While many great friends and colleagues watched on in love and support.

There were incredibly nice and mostly untrue things said about the new Lt. Col and his wife,

and their adorably silly little boys.

The ceremony was done with an extreme amount of professionalism and class
by the Defense Attache Office in Budapest Hungary.

And his proud family couldn't be more appreciative or happy.
