Mack's beloved frog appropriately named Super Frog passed away shortly after Thanksgiving.
I am not sure who was more sad, him or me...I hated seeing him so heart broken.
While we were in Idaho this summer the boys caught tadpoles while
at the sand dunes.
Funny thing is the night before we left to come back home Mack's tadpole grew legs and jumped away in the night. We were left with one, Creeds.
Mack was a good sport dealing with the loss of that frog and I told him when Dad got home we would find another one. It was NO easy task trying to find tadpoles that late in the season.
He settled on a baby frog found in neighborhood pond.
Turns out it was a leopard frog and Creed's tadpole grew up to be a spade foot toad who he named Johnny.
(Creed was a big Johnny Test fan at the time)
Johnny is still with us...for the time being...and Super Frog is buried in the back yard
along with the snake from last summer, a few birds, and another frog.
