MY Museum

The fishing boat!
Dress up time at the museum!
Aahh the sweet peaceful ocean, mom just sittin and kickin it on the blanket
And wham! Creed a little disheveled after his mishap!

On tuesday Mack had no school because it was Lincoln's birthday (which I think is odd, I thought that is why we have president's day, which by the way they get that day off too.) Anyway, I decided to take the boys along with one of Mack's friends to a great place that my boys like. It is the childrens museum in Monterey on Cannery Row. They have a boat/fishing area that the kids love to climb on and in the back is an area with stuffed and plastic sea life that they can pretend to catch with fishing poles. The funniest thing was after Mack pulled all the sealife out he asked me if I would come help him be "Heavenly Father, and put all the fishes in the sea". Priceless!
After spending a couple of hours there we decided to take advantage of the 70 degree weather and play at the beach. I thought all we would do was play in the sand, but of course these 3 little boys had other plans. The water was just too tempting to not play in it. After all its been a long hard winter here in California. :) Call it the spirit or Mother's intuition but I had a feeling that the high tide was getting a little aggressive for my little Creedo so I decided to put my phone down and be ready for a lifeguard moment. As soon as the phone was put down this little wave came crashing on poor Creed and rolled him continuously out into the long shallow tide. I was already running towards him yelling at Mack to help him up but he was also a little unstable, meanwhile poor baby just kept getting pulled in. After about 3 quick waves and pulls I finally reached the little guy and lucky for me he didn't think the whole thing was as scary as it was. However, what wasn't so lucky for me was I had jeans on was soaked on both legs up to my thighs. So our outing ended earlier than planned because I of course didn't have towels because we weren't going in the water. Right!? Oh well, the boys couldn't have been happier on the way home sitting in their underwear (because their clothes were soaked, just in case anyone was wondering why) and talking about the days adventures. I guess that is what it is all about.

What a fun day. I'm glad Creed wasn't upset by his ocean experience.
